The School community believes that a safe and orderly school is of primary importance to creating an enjoyable learning environment for both students and teachers. Furthermore, when students behave in a respectful, responsible and safe manner, they enjoy a more productive learning experience and develop into responsible adults and citizens.
Positive Discipline in the Classroom:
The Positive Discipline in the Classroom Program focuses upon creating an environment for educating the whole child. When classroom teachers learn to implement effective class meetings, most problems can be handled within the classroom community, instead of referring problems to administration. Although difficult to measure, we have found that this program has had a profound influence upon our children. Children demonstrate more respect for one another and their peers and appear happier and calmer.
In addition to the School’s programs to help children develop self-discipline, the School follows the Brevard Schools Code of Conduct. Links are below.
