Bio: Mrs. Charlotte Chase is currently in her 13th year of teaching. She graduated from the University of Florida with a Master of Education degree in Elementary and Exceptional Student Education. She has taught 3rd grade, 5th grade, 6th grade, Exceptional Student Education, and as a dyslexia teacher.
This is Mrs. Chase's second year at Odyssey Preparatory Academy, last year as the literacy coach and ESE teacher, this year she is the ESE Coordinator and teacher. Mrs. Chase is very excited to help all Odyssey Prep Academy students reach their full potential as learners and people.
Rotstein, Alexis • Room 162
Certification: Alexis Rotstein is a graduate of University of Central Florida in 2009 with a BA in Elementary Education and a minor is Exceptional Education. She is currently certified to teach K-6, ESE K-12 and is Reading Endorsed and ESOL Endorsed.
Ms. Rotstein has been with Odyssey since 2009 where she taught fourth grade at the lower campus. She made the move to Odyssey Preparatory in 2014 to serve as a Literacy Coach. The following year she worked with students that were placed on Hospital/Homebound instruction. She has returned to OPA full time this school year to work as an ESE and Intervention Specialist. Ms. Rotstein is the proud mother of two daughters; Marlee who is three and Sloane who is one. She enjoys spending her free time with her kids at the beach, park or various festivals around town.
Brancaccio, Paulette • Room 162

Bio: Paulette lives in Indian Harbour Beach with her husband, two sons, and a sweet beagle/dachshund mix dog. Paulette is entering her 13th year in education. She has taught grades 1-5. She attended Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL where she earned her Bachelors in Elementary Education. Her teaching career started in Broward County where she taught for 4 years before moving with her family to Brevard County. She has worked in both the public and private sector and is in her third year with Odyssey Schools. She taught 1st/2nd grade at the flagship campus, and last year, she was the Instructional Coach at OPA. This year, Paulette is the math coach and ESE teacher at OPA.
Certification: Ms. Janowicz received a K – 8 Instructional Certification from the State of New Jersey and is certified in K – 6 education in Florida. She also holds a Master's degree in Education with the concentration in Diverse Learner.
She started her professional career in Poland as a middle school History and Linguistics teacher and continued in the US as a classroom teacher at upper elementary levels. It is then that her love to Math began after she completed additional training in Mathematics instruction. Her experience also includes home education of grades 4 – 12 as she has solely been responsible for her three children's academic endeavors. Two of her daughters have become honor roll student-athletes at the University of Florida and Elon University of North Carolina, while her son has just entered 9th grade with the latest FSA scores of 5s and a 4.
In addition to teaching Math, Ms. Janowicz enjoys watching her children competing in national and international tennis tournaments. She also likes running; she has completed five marathons with the last time qualifying her for the prestigious Boston Marathon.
Ms. Janowicz is very excited to be a part of the amazing OPA staff as she is committed to helping students conquer the fear of Math once and for all!

Certification: A.S. in Early Childhood, B.S. in Elementary Education, B.S. in Psychology, Master of Education, Director Credential with VPK Endorsement, Early Childhood Montessori Credential 3-6, Elementary 1 Montessori Credential 6-9, ESOL Endorsement K-12.
Bio: Ms. MacGilvray began her career in 1993 on the beautiful North Shore of Boston as a Preschool/Kindergarten teacher at a private Montessori school. After 8 years, she moved to Florida and continued her career as a Montessori educator, teaching grades 1st – 3rd . For the last several years, Ms. MacGilvray has utilized her Montessori experience to help remediate students in grades K-5, as well as train classroom teachers on implementing the Montessori Method into their classrooms and develop teaching materials.
