Bio: Ms. Mackie is a veteran teacher originally from Wichita, KS where she taught grades 7 and 8 as an algebra and geometry teacher. This is Ms. Mackie's 2nd year teaching kindergarten and she is very excited to be joining the OPA team!

Ebersole, Pam • Room 103
Certification: Elementary Education K-6, Bilingual Education K-6, Special Education K-12, Early Childhood Pre-K
Bio: Ms. Ebersole is a veteran teacher from Houston, TX where she taught grades K-5 as a bilingual teacher and as Special Education teacher. She is very excited to be starting a Montessori kindergarten this year at OPA!

Sear, Christina • Room 105
Certification: Elementary Education (K-6), ESOL Endorsement
Bio: Christina Sear is a Kindergarten teacher at Odyssey Preparatory Academy, with twelve years' experience in first and kindergarten. Ms. Sear has a passion for teaching, inspiring, and challenging children to love learning. She invites and encourages families to be a part of the learning this year that takes place in the classroom. Get ready for meaningful activities, experiences, and fun!

Rodriguez, Awilda Maria • Room 107
Certifications: Professional Educator's Certificate in the following areas: Biology (Grades 6-12), Elementary Education (Grades K-6), World Language – Spanish (Grades K-12)
Bio: Mrs. Rodriguez is a dedicated and enthusiastic K-12 teacher with over 6 years of experience. She taught Kindergarten for 4 years achieving a 100% class probability of reading success. She anticipates an amazing year full of meaningful learning activities and growth!

Stevens, Veronica • Room 106
Certification:  Elementary Education (K-6), ESOL endorsement
Bio: Veronica Stevens began her teaching career in Maryland, where she taught kindergarten and first grade.  Since relocating to Brevard County in 2002, she has taught all elementary grades except fourth.   This is her eleventh year teaching in a charter school, and her first year at OPA.

Williams, Brittany • Room 108
Certification: Elementary Education (K-3),
Bio: Ms. Brittany Williams is in her second year of teaching at OPA. Ms. Williams received her Bachelor of Science degree in English with a minor in Communications. After graduation she decided to pursue teaching by way of a alternative certification route. Ms. Williams is looking forward to a year filled with educational opportunities that will guide the children's growth.


2nd Grade

Cummings, Caitlin • Room 110
Certification: Elementary Education (K-6), Reading Endorsement, and ESOL Endorsement 
Bio: Ms. Caitlin Cummings is in her fifth year of teaching. This is her third year at OPA. She previously taught 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade. Ms. Cummings received her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in reading and ESOL.  She has also built up our elementary sports program here at OPA as our Athletic Director. Ms. Cummings is excited to be teaching 2nd grade again and looking forward to encouraging her students to reach their highest potential.

Rosati, Lisa • Room 109
Certification: Masters in Education and Endorsements in ESOL and Reading K-12.
Bio: Mrs. Rosati has been a teacher for over 20 years, and this is her fourth year with Odyssey Schools. She has taught every grade level from K-12, and is currently teaching 2nd grade. She is originally from Ohio, is married and has two adult daughters.

Jewell, Suzette • Room 113
Bio: Ms. Jewell is in her seventh year of teaching. This is her first year here at Odyssey Preparatory Academy and she is very excited to be a part of our team. She attended Florida International University where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, Nova Southeastern University where I earned a Master's degree in Reading and Barry University where she earned a Specialist degree in Educational

Heck, Stephanie • Room 112
Certification: Elementary Education (K-6), Reading Endorsement, and ESOL Endorsement 
Bio: Ms. Stephanie Heck is in her first year of teaching. Ms. Heck received her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in reading and ESOL. Ms. Heck is excited to be teaching 3rd grade and looking forward to having a great and successful year with her students.

Badurek, Nicole • Room 111
Certification: Elementary Education (K-6)
Bio: Nicole Badurek graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor's of Science in psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic University. After graduating, she worked in special education for two years. She then went on to work in Early Intervention for two years which led her back into the classroom. She is starting her 8th year teaching. She previously taught Kindergarten but has moved up to Third grade this year.  This is her third year at OPA.

4th grade

Convery, Erin • Room 160
Certification: Elementary Education (K-6)
Bio: Ms. Erin Convery is currently in her eighth year of teaching. Of those years, six of them have been teaching fourth grade. She got her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Elementary Education. She has also completed much of her coursework towards a Master's Degree in Special Education, and hopes to complete this degree in the next couple years. She began her teaching experience in New York City and moved to Florida two years ago to teach at OPA. This year, she looks forward to helping students see how hard work and dedication pay off. 

Geier, Liane • Room 161
Certification: Elementary Education (K-6), ESOL Endorsement, Reading Endorsement
Bio: Ms. Geier graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.  She is also endorsed in ESOL and Reading. After graduation, Ms. Geier moved to Broward County and taught fifth and second grade.  Ms. Geier moved back to her hometown of Palm Bay, Florida, and took a position teaching Kindergarten at Odyssey Preparatory Academy their opening year and is now in her fourth year at OPA she is teaching fourth grade Math and Science. 

5th grade

Liz Guslawski • Room 159
Bio: Attended and graduated with honors from Florida Atlantic University earning a Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Elementary Education K-6 with an ESOL Endorsement. She has just completed her coursework to obtain her gifted certification, and looks forward to seeing that endorsement added to her professional certificate in the near future.  She attended University of Central Florida to pursue a Master's degree in Educational Psychology in Curriculum and Design with a focus on technology, but has since decided to study Ecology and Marine Biology with a focus on technology and our natural resources.  She has been with the Odyssey family for 6 years teaching 5th through 8th grade Science and Math, and looks forward to another successful year!

Clark, Brian • Room 158
Certification: Elementary Education (K-6)
Bio:  Mr. Clark comes to Odyssey Prep Academy with several years of teaching experience in elementary education. He has a bachelor degree in Business and Education (BA), and a master degree in Education (M.Ed.) from Cambridge College in Massachusetts. He has recently moved to Florida from the Boston area to teach here at OPA. Bringing real-life connectivity to the classroom, Mr. Clark has performed extensive travel throughout the US and Europe.


6th Grade

Tasha Lynch- Treasure • Room 157
Bio: Ms. Treasure is an enthusiastic teacher who has taught fifth and sixth grades for the past 17 years.
My education includes a Bachelor's of Education Degree in Elementary Education, which I attained at the International University of the Caribbean in Jamaica in 2012. A Diploma in Teaching from Sam Sharpe Teachers' College in 1998. My philosophy is to provide an interesting, challenging and learning environment where my students will flourish socially and academically. This is my first year at OPA and looking forward to many more years!

Robert Birmingham • 6th grade Room 156
Certification: 6-12 Social Science.
Bio: After a move from 27 year career in the Military in 2012 I worked for the Department of Defense Education system at the College level two years. Then transitioned as a teacher for Brevard County Schools 2013 -2014 until finding a place at OPA last year. Have a wife of 18 years Fey and a Daughter Julie.
Education:  Bachelor of Science in Economics (2005, Liberty University), Master of Arts in Teaching with Technology (2008, Ashford University), Education Specialist (Ed.S) in Educational Leadership (2013, Liberty University), Education Specialist (Ed.S) in Curriculum and Instruction (2014, Liberty University). Currently working on my dissertation for ED.D


Warren, Karina• Room 133
Certification: Art (K-12)
Bio: Karina Warren joins Odyssey Prep Academy this year as the Art Teacher. Her educational experience includes nine years teaching Elementary and Jr/Sr High School Art at Odyssey Charter School and one year previously teaching Elementary Art in two schools near Atlanta, GA. Warren holds a B.F.A. in Drawing and Painting and a B.A. in Anthropology from University of Central Florida and a M.A. in Art Education from the University of Florida. She has traveled for art studies to Italy and Great Britain and with an archaeological expedition to Easter Island.  Her commitment to art and education doesn't end in May. She has taught Art at both the Foosaner Art museum and Odyssey summer programs, painted murals at Odyssey Charter School, and has had her work included in local art exhibitions.
